with your questions, and we will respond to you right away. Q: Do we have to follow the recommended timeline for 40 Days of Purpose? A: By following the recommended timeline, you’ll receive optimum customer care. Please note — 40 Days of Purpose is a comprehensive experience that requires engagement and advanced planning from your leadership team and ministries. A minimum planning timeline of 2-3 months is strongly recommended. However, if the timeline simply won’t work for your congregation, or if you feel that another time would work better for your church - the resources and training we offer will enable you to move forward on the timeline that works for you. You will find special coaching emails in the Campaign Director Site that will guide you through your timeline. Use this to guide your campaign team through the months and weeks of training. Q: How important is it that all of our ministries and congregation participate in 40 Days of Purpose? A: Very. 40 Days of Purpose rediscovers God’s five eternal purposes for our lives: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, and Evangelism. Each ministry in your congregation is integral to one or more of these five purposes. Engaging your church as a whole ensures a shared vision and fully unleashes the power of God’s purposes during your 40 day journey and beyond. Q: Do we have to use all of the resources provided for 40 Days of Purpose? May we customize? A: The Resource Kit includes flexible communication tools, event ideas, curriculum, and worship resources. Selecting the combination of these offerings that will best serve the personality of your congregation and honor God’s purposes should be a focus of your prayer and preparation. The tools have proven to be effective for thousands of churches, and for this reason we suggest you use as many as possible. However, the tools do offer flexibility for adaptation to the needs of your church. Challenge your leadership to think exponentially and explore new approaches. Stepping outside of your “comfort zone” can reveal new and exciting results in your church! Q: What are the benefits of registering for 40 Days of Purpose instead of just launching a study of The Purpose Driven Life in our congregation? A: There is a power in doing a church-wide spiritual growth campaign that transcends the results of a typical book study. 40 Days of Purpose will comprehensively reinforce the themes of the book by engaging your church on all levels, which multiplies exponentially the overall impact of the learnings. A mere book study will not give your church the excitement to get involved in ministry, the energy for evangelism, the increase in attendance and giving, the growth in small groups, and the depth of discipleship that the 40 Days of Purpose can achieve in 40 short days! Q: Will 40 Days of Purpose really have impact in a small congregation? A: ABSOLUTELY! The results in small churches are often just as dramatic, proportionally, as those in larger congregations. 40 Days of Purpose is based on five Biblical principles that truly transcend size. The results experienced by other churches are not a function of a specific size, model, or denomination of church. They are simply a function of offering up the 40 day journey to God’s purposes. 40 Days of Purpose has proven effective for churches of 25 to 25,000. |
